Before using any new product, perform a patch test by applying a small amount to the inside of your wrist or elbow and waiting 24–48 hours to observe any reaction. If irritation, redness, itching, burning, or any adverse reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional.

Products with high oil concentrations — including but not limited to Bath Bombs, Lotion Bars, Salt Scrubs, and Body Oils — may cause bathtub, shower, or floor surfaces to become slippery when wet. Use with caution. Dry all surfaces thoroughly after use. Rum Creek Soap Company is not responsible for accidents or injuries resulting from slippery surfaces caused by product use.

Some Rum Creek Soap Company products contain natural colorants, clays, botanicals, herbs, and teas that may:

• Stain light-colored fabrics, washcloths, towels, or clothing
• Leave residual particles on bathroom surfaces

Test on a small or inconspicuous area before use on light fabrics. Rinse bathroom surfaces with water and wipe clean after use. Rum Creek Soap Company is not responsible for staining or surface residue resulting from normal product use.

All Rum Creek Soap products are handmade in small batches. Weight, color, texture, and appearance may vary slightly from product photos or packaging descriptions due to the handcrafted nature of our products and the influence of environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. These variations are normal and do not affect product quality or safety.

To extend the life of your soap bar, keep it out of standing water between uses. Store in a well-ventilated area on a soap dish with drainage. Proper airflow will prevent your bar from becoming soft or breaking down prematurely.

Candle Products

All Rum Creek Soap Company candles are handcrafted in small batches using a soy-based wax blend and premium fragrance oils. By purchasing any candle product from Rum Creek Soap Company, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the safety guidelines and terms outlined below.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep candles within sight while lit and extinguish all candles before leaving a room or going to sleep.

• Keep all candles away from flammable materials including curtains, bedding, paper, and clothing
• Always burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, vents, and air currents
• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets at all times
• Trim your wick to ¼ inch before every burn to prevent uneven burning, excessive flame, smoking, or soot buildup
• Do not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time; allow the candle to cool completely before relighting
• Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container to prevent overheating, cracking, or fire hazard
• Never use a candle as a nightlight or near a sleeping area while burning
• Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times

Candle containers will become hot during use. Do not touch or move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still liquid. Allow the candle to cool completely before handling. Rum Creek Soap Company is not responsible for burns, injuries, or property damage resulting from improper handling of candles during or after burning.

Crystals may appear in one of two ways:

• On top of the wax as decoration — these must be removed before lighting your candle. Use a spoon or tweezers to carefully remove all surface crystals prior to burning.
• Inside the candle, embedded within the wax — these crystals will be gradually released as the wax melts and may shift, sink, or become exposed near the flame during burning.

Crystal Safety Rules:

• Never leave a crystal candle burning unattended — released crystals require closer monitoring than a standard candle
• Crystals released into the wax pool may cause flame irregularity or uneven burning — this is normal
• Once crystals are fully exposed or resting near the bottom of the container, extinguish the candle immediately — do not attempt to burn down to the last of the wax when crystals are present near the flame or wick
• Released crystals present a choking hazard — keep crystal candles out of reach of children and pets at all times

Rum Creek Soap Company is not responsible for injury, property damage, or accidents resulting from improper use of crystal candles or failure to follow these safety guidelines.

No guarantee of restocking any discontinued or seasonal scent is expressed or implied. All seasonal and limited edition candles are subject to the same safety guidelines outlined in this disclaimer.

Rum Creek Soap Company offers flameless candle options, including container candles designed for use with electric warmers and wax melts available as refills once your original container candle's scent has been depleted.

• Use only with UL-listed electric warmers or appropriate wax warmer devices — Rum Creek Soap Company is not responsible for damage caused by incompatible or faulty warmer equipment
• Never leave a wax warmer unattended for extended periods — unplug when not in use
• Keep warmers on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from children, pets, and flammable materials
• Use in a well-ventilated space — if you or anyone in your household experiences headaches, nausea, dizziness, or respiratory irritation, discontinue use and ventilate the area immediately
• Do not ingest wax melts — keep out of reach of children and pets at all times

All Rum Creek Soap Company candles and wax melts are scented with fragrance oils. Individuals with fragrance sensitivities, asthma, respiratory conditions, or known allergies to synthetic fragrances should exercise caution. Burn or warm candles only in well-ventilated spaces. Rum Creek Soap Company is not responsible for adverse reactions related to fragrance sensitivity.

All Rum Creek Soap Company candles are handpoured in small batches. Slight variations in color, scent throw, texture, and appearance are normal and expected. These variations do not affect the quality, safety, or performance of the candle.

Limitation of Liability

Rum Creek Soap Company makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, regarding any of its products. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rum Creek Soap Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including but not limited to fire, property damage, burns, skin reactions, or personal injury — arising from the purchase or use of our products.
